The DOL 111 is an optical rain detector featuring built-in optical probes and a 30-meter cable for easy installation.
It can deactivate sprinklers and close inlets during rain.
To automate inlet closure in rainy conditions, such as in cattle stables, the DOL 111 can be connected to a climate controller.
The sensor detects rainfall above or below 6.35 mm/hour (1/4”/hour) and can be adjusted to stop detection 30 seconds to 5 minutes after the last drop. It operates in temperatures from -40 to 60 degrees Celsius.
Constructed from UV-resistant polycarbonate, UV-stable ABS, stainless steel, and a silicone O-ring, it protects the circuit board from rain.
The sensor can also be used for various detection purposes.
DOL 111 is designed to override cycle programs, halting the system during rainfall and keeping it off for a period after rain. It can work with irrigation controllers to stop sprinklers in fields. Irrigation resumes once the sensor dries or rainfall is below 6.35 mm/hour.
